The pre-memorization level at Lubab Institute prepares students for a successful Hifz journey. In this stage, students will complete a full recitation (Khatm) of the complete Qur’an with Tajweed, with emphasis on Tarteel (measured recitation) and Mushk (corrective reading) with close supervision.
At this level, one is quite fluent, articulates quite accurately, and is well acquainted with the context of the Qur’anic text. Besides that, students learn Waqf and Ibtida (which are the rules of pausing and starting) that are necessary for recitation and memorization.
By the conclusion of this stage, pupils are both spiritually and technically prepared to engage in the endeavor of memorization of the Qur’an, fluently and with rhythm.
The Lubab Institute Hifz program is a Hifz (memorization) level program for students. During this stage, students will memorize the entire Qur’an—all 6,236 verses—with the patience of skilled and nurturing teachers. Precision and consistency in a spiritual context are stressed.
Beyond memorization, students also explore the background and historical context of various Surahs, along with the stories contained within the Qur’an, enriching their understanding and connection to the divine message.
This level will make Huffaz, but additionally, people who can analyze the meaning and wisdom of the Qur’an that they carry in their hearts. In short, a combination of Hifz and Fiqh.
The Post-Memorization Level at Lubab Institute strengthens and enhances the Hifz of a student. Following complete memorization, students will be placed in an intensive revision phase, during which they recite the complete Qur’an multiple times, letter by letter, under the experts’ eye.
In this phase, teachers review the student’s Tajweed skills to ensure he/she has learned and applied every rule. The goal is to memorize the Qur’an and recite it correctly.
This level is special because it introduces students to basic Qirā’āt and Maqāmāt, which allows them to experience this beautiful tradition. We believe every learner deserves a chance at learning the correct Qira’at and enjoying the beauty of the Qur’an.
Hafiz’s confidence and refinement as a master reciter/leader begin at this level of study.
